Living With the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit does not draw attention away from Jesus. He makes Christ known, shapes our character, guides us in truth and empowers our witness.

Who is the Holy Spirit?. The Spirit is not an impersonal force. He dwells with believers, teaches and reminds us of Jesus' words, and helps us pray and walk in truth. John 14:16–17, 26

Fruit and gifts. Spiritual gifts serve others; the fruit of the Spirit forms love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Seek both with humility and biblical discernment. 1 Corinthians 12:7 · Galatians 5:22–23

Yielded for witness. Prayer in the Spirit, sensitivity to His leading and the presence of God should lead us toward holiness, love and bold witness. Test what you hear against Scripture and the character of Christ. Acts 1:8 · Galatians 5:16
